Ride Your Bike on the Mesquite Heritage Trail
The Mesquite Heritage Trail is the kind of place that makes you want to take your bike out for a leisurely ride. The 4.25-mile trail system features three trailheads (Americana Trailhead, Dunford Trailhead, Palos Verdes Trailhead) starting on Town Centre Drive and Franklin Drive and ending near the Greenbelt Parkway. These trails, which meander through trees and past water features, are open to bicycles and pedestrians. Whether you use them to commute or to wander, you will enjoy the journey.

Spend Quality Time with your Furry Family Member at Mesquite Leash Free Park
Since it can be lonely walking or running alone, take your four-legged family member along. We are sure they would love the smell of fresh air. If your pup needs to burn off some energy as well, head to the Leash Free Zone located at Town East Park. The Leash Free Zone is comprised of two separate areas totaling 30,000 square feet. The small dog area is specifically for canines weighing less than 30 pounds. The large dog area welcomes dogs of all sizes.

Practice Your Disc Golf Skills in Mesquite’s Disc Golf Parks
Spend one sunny afternoon perfecting those disc golf skills. It’s fun, it’s free, and it’s the ideal way to get some fresh air in Mesquite. Best of all, you have your choice of courses around between three courses. There is Paschall Park, which has 18 holes spread out among trees and creeks. Porter Park offers a nine-hole course with short, open fairways that is great for beginners. Debusk Park is another nine-hole course set along a creek that is well-suited for anyone looking for a challenge.

Play 18 at Mesquite's Golf club
This 154-acre, 18-hole golf course will provide hours of fun for both novice and expert golfers. Operated by the City of Mesquite, the course features a snack bar, pro shop, and driving range, which is open from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.To schedule a tee time, call 972-270-7457, up to 6 days in advance. The course is open 7 days a week.

Enjoy Family Fun at the Kidsquest Playground at Debusk Park
DeBusk Park features two playgrounds, including the renovated KidsQuest play structure. The updated structure includes ADA accessibility, swings, tall slides, room to run, climbing features and a unique environment that fosters creative play.In addition to the updated playground, the park has a baseball field, open playing field, two large picnic pavilions with tables and a pet-friendly trail that is over a mile long for walking, jogging and biking.
