For those that love history as much as their pups, Doggy Derby Day is held in April at Opal Lawrence Historical Park. Doggie Splash Day is put on in August by Mesquite Parks and Rec at Vanston Pool to cap off the summer, and for those that love the spooky season, PumpkinFest has several activities that you and your dog can participate in.

Usually held at the Mesquite Convention Center and Exhibit Hall, these dog shows bring in hundreds of dogs and thousands of dog enthusiasts to the Official Rodeo Capital of Texas. Our unique geographical location and pet-friendly atmosphere are attractive propositions for dog lovers looking to meet in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In 2021, we hosted the Siberian Husky National Specialty, Rhodesian Ridgeback National Specialty, and ESSFTA National Specialty. We are proud of being the preferred conference venue for pet lovers!
